What We Do

Here at Glacier Wedding Music we specialize in Americana, Classic Country, Folk, Bluegrass and Western swing music. Want a classic jazz tune? Don’t worry we can cover that, too! We love everything from Dolly Parton to Alison Krauss, Glen Campbell to Tyler Childers, Willie Nelson to Vince Gill, Patsy Cline to Billy Strings…. you get the picture. 🙂

It’s important to us that you have music that is unique to your love story, and fitting for what YOU want for your special day, whether that is something simple and intimate, or bigger and more lively!

————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Here are a few of the options we offer:

As a soloist, Hannah brings her toe-tapping, award winning fiddle playing, classic acoustic guitar and angelic, soaring vocals to the table.  This is a more intimate, simple option that can be a great touch to any wedding or elopement.

(A great option for elopements in or around Glacier National park is solo fiddle, but duo and trio options can work as well depending on location.)

For a more full sound, consider our duo, trio or full band arrangements. This would be a combination of lead and harmony vocals, fiddle, acoustic guitar, dobro, banjo, upright bass, and drums.

————————————————————————————————————————————————–

We can provide music for your Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception. Or any combination of the three. Here’s how it works:

Ceremony:

Your choice of up to 5 songs listed on our Wedding Song list, with the option to request up to 2 songs not listed! Solo, Duo, or Trio options for this are lovely.

Cocktail Hour:

This is usually around 1 hour long, and can be comprised of Traditional fiddle music, Classic Country / Americana / Folk songs, Instrumental background music, or a combination of each! I’d recommend solo, duo or trio options for Cocktail Hour.

Reception:

Up to 3 hours of live music! Want to include a special song for a First dance, Daddy Daughter / Mother Son dance, etc? Request up to 3 specific songs and we will include them! I’d recommend a full band or Trio option for this!

Tips for planning your Elopement in Glacier National Park

Eloping in Glacier National Park can be a magical experience, but you’ll want to do some careful planning to ensure everything goes smoothly. Here are a few quick tips for eloping in Glacier National Park:

  1. Obtain Permits:
    • Check with the National Park Service for any required permits or regulations for your elopement. Permits may be needed for ceremonies, photography, or specific locations.
  2. Choose the Best Season:
    • Glacier National Park experiences distinct seasons, and the weather can vary greatly. Summer and early fall (June to September) are popular choices due to milder weather and open roads.
  3. Be aware of Current Road Conditions:
    • Some areas of the park may be inaccessible due to snow or road closures, construction, etc, especially during the winter and early spring. Checking road conditions via the Park website is easy and a good idea to make sure your day goes as planned!
  4. Time Your Ceremony:
    • Consider the lighting for your ceremony. Sunset can provide that luscious soft, golden hour photos of your dreams. Plan your ceremony accordingly for the best photos.
  5. Dress for the Weather:
    • You never know for sure what the weather will do in the mountains! Expect the unexpected. Even in summer, temperatures can be cool, and unexpected rain or snow showers are possible. It’s not a bad idea to throw in an extra layer and a wind breaker just in case.
  6. Plan for Altitude:
    • Glacier National Park has high elevations, and some people may experience altitude sickness. No fun! Allow time for acclimatization and stay much more hydrated than you think you need to be!
  7. Hire a Local Photographer:
    • Consider hiring a photographer familiar with the park. They will know the best locations, lighting conditions, and can likely guide you through the permitting process if needed. If you need some recommendations, I’ve got you covered!
  8. Respect Wildlife and Nature:
    • Follow Leave No Trace principles. Respect wildlife, stay on designated trails, and leave the natural environment as you found it. Remember that even though those mountain goats seem suspiciously friendly, they are still unpredictable wild animals.
  9. Plan for Logistics:
    • Logistics such as transportation, lodging, and meals can be tricky, especially if you have guests attending. There is a great bus transportation system that runs in the summer that helps cut down on the heavy tourism congestion. Pack a cooler, snacks and a lot of water!
  10. Backup Plans:
    • Have a backup plan in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Some locations may not be accessible due to weather, so flexibility is key.
  11. Enjoy the Moment:
    • Take time to soak up the moment and the stunning surroundings. Glacier National Park offers a breathtaking backdrop for your special day, and no matter what the weather or logistics, it’s magical. Make the most of it.
