What We Do

Here at Glacier Wedding Music we specialize in Americana, Classic Country, Folk, Bluegrass and Western swing music. Want a classic jazz tune? Don’t worry we can cover that, too! We love everything from Dolly Parton to Alison Krauss, Glen Campbell to Tyler Childers, Willie Nelson to Vince Gill, Patsy Cline to Billy Strings…. you get the picture. 🙂

It’s important to us that you have music that is unique to your love story, and fitting for what YOU want for your special day, whether that is something simple and intimate, or bigger and more lively!

————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Here are a few of the options we offer:

As a soloist, Hannah brings her toe-tapping, award winning fiddle playing, classic acoustic guitar and angelic, soaring vocals to the table.  This is a more intimate, simple option that can be a great touch to any wedding or elopement.

(A great option for elopements in or around Glacier National park is solo fiddle, but duo and trio options can work as well depending on location.)

For a more full sound, consider our duo, trio or full band arrangements. This would be a combination of lead and harmony vocals, fiddle, acoustic guitar, dobro, banjo, upright bass, and drums.

————————————————————————————————————————————————–

We can provide music for your Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception. Or any combination of the three. Here’s how it works:

Ceremony:

Your choice of up to 5 songs listed on our Wedding Song list, with the option to request up to 2 songs not listed! Solo, Duo, or Trio options for this are lovely.

Cocktail Hour:

This is usually around 1 hour long, and can be comprised of Traditional fiddle music, Classic Country / Americana / Folk songs, Instrumental background music, or a combination of each! I’d recommend solo, duo or trio options for Cocktail Hour.

Reception:

Up to 3 hours of live music! Want to include a special song for a First dance, Daddy Daughter / Mother Son dance, etc? Request up to 3 specific songs and we will include them! I’d recommend a full band or Trio option for this!

Why you should choose Americana music for your Montana wedding

Americana music for your Montana wedding is like adding whipped cream on the top of your hot cocoa. It’s the perfect pairing. It’s as western as western comes. Rootsy. Genuine. Wholesome. Here are some other reasons why you might consider Americana music for your Montana wedding:

  1. Timeless and Classic Feel:
    • Americana music often has a timeless and classic quality. The melodies, lyrics, and instrumentation can create a nostalgic atmosphere that resonates with both young and older generations.
  2. Authenticity and Storytelling:
    • Americana songs often tell stories and convey authentic emotions. This can be particularly meaningful during a wedding ceremony or reception, as the music becomes a backdrop to the narrative of your love story.
  3. Versatility:
    • Americana is a versatile genre that can suit various parts of your wedding day. Whether you’re looking for something sweet and acoustic for the ceremony, lively tunes for the reception, or soulful ballads for the first dance, Americana has a range of options.
  4. Connection to American Heritage:
    • If you have a connection to American heritage or if you appreciate the rich musical traditions of the United States, Americana music can be a wonderful way to celebrate and honor those roots.
  5. Wide Range of Moods:
    • Americana music covers a spectrum of moods and emotions. You can find joyous, celebratory songs as well as more introspective and romantic pieces, allowing you to curate a playlist that suits the different moments of your wedding.
  6. Intimate and Relaxed Vibes:
    • Many Americana songs have an intimate and relaxed feel, which can create a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere at your wedding. This is particularly beneficial for couples who prefer a more casual or rustic wedding setting.
  7. Appeal to Diverse Tastes:
    • Americana’s eclectic nature means there’s something for everyone. It blends elements from various genres, making it accessible and enjoyable for guests with different musical tastes.
  8. Live Band or Acoustic Performances:
    • If you’re considering live music, Americana is well-suited to acoustic performances or live bands. This can add an extra layer of authenticity and warmth to your wedding.
  9. Dance-Friendly:
    • Many Americana songs have a rhythm and energy that make them perfect for dancing. Whether it’s a lively square dance or a more relaxed sway, Americana can set the right mood for your dance floor.
  10. Memorable and Personal:
    • Americana music can make your wedding feel distinct and personal. Choosing songs that have special meaning to you as a couple can create lasting memories associated with the music.

Ultimately, the choice of wedding music is a personal one, but here in Montana we’re pretty biased towards Americana. 😉
